Cleveland, OH – On October 18th, 2024, eight residents from the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center celebrated a significant milestone as they graduated from the Spread the Love Foundation’s Interest 2 Income Program. This graduation marked the completion of the program’s 100 Level course, designed to teach financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and personal development to youth within the Detention Center.

During the graduation ceremony, the residents performed their individually written and recorded songs, as well as a group performance of a collaborative song, showcasing their talent and growth. Family members were in attendance to celebrate alongside the youth and enjoy the performances and festivities.

Among those present was Krayzie Bone, founding member of the legendary Cleveland rap group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and founder of the Spread the Love Foundation. He offered motivational words to the graduates, stating, "I saw a lot of light. I saw a lot of energy that can be shared someplace else." He also reassured the youth, saying, "We’ll still be here to help you when you do get out, if you want."

The Interest 2 Income Program equips detained youth with the tools they need to build prosperous and independent futures by teaching them how to succeed in the music industry and beyond. Through a combination of mentorship, education, and hands-on experiences, the program aims to prepare the youth for life after detention. The first class graduated in May 2024, and another graduation is scheduled for December.

The Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center is deeply grateful for the ongoing support from the Spread the Love Foundation. Programs like this one play a crucial role in the Detention Center’s mission to rehabilitate youth, strengthen families, and create opportunities for a brighter future.

Congratulations to the youth on this incredible achievement, and we look forward to seeing the next group of graduates this December!
