Steps for E-filing
STEP : Email your filing to the dedicated email filing address as indicated above.
STEP : Check your email for the responsive email that our office sends back to you once your initial email filing has been reviewed and then take any additional steps (if necessary).
You will receive 1 of 3 potential responses to your email filing:
A) ACCEPTED FOR PROCESSING
If your filing is accepted for processing, you will receive an email from our office indicating your filing has been received and should appear in our Case Management System within 2 – 3 business days. You don’t need to take any additional steps.
B) PAYMENT REQUIRED
If your filing requires payment, you will receive an email back indicating your filing requires a payment; listing the amount required with payment options. Your filing will not be processed until payment is received. If you pay within 2 business days, your filing will be time stamped the date/time in which your original filing email was received. See Local Rule 22.
C) FILING REJECTED
If your filing is rejected, you will receive an email back indicating your filing could not be processed and the reason why. You will need to submit a new filing once the issue is remedied on your end.
STEP : Make any required payments for your email filing.
If you received a “payment required” email you may make your required payment online, by phone or in-person.
